Course and Start Times - Fight for Air Climb begins at 8:30 a.m. Climbers take off in 10 second intervals creating staggered starts. The last climber begins his/her climb at approximately 12:00 p.m. Fight for Air Climb is a timed event. Water stations are provided in the concourse area and throughout the stairwells.
Wave Assignment and Check-in - One week before the event, climbers are assigned a "Wave" number. Waves begin every 15 minutes and climbers will be asked to line up 15 minutes prior to their wave's starting times. Climbers within each wave are then released into the stairwell individually in 10-second intervals.
Members of teams will receive the same wave time so they can climb together. In general, large teams will receive the earliest wave times with small teams and individuals receiving the later morning start times.
All participants should arrive one hour before their designated 'Wave' start time to check-in, get their timing ship, store any gear and warm-up.
Post Climb Party/Guest Passes - At the finish line participants will enjoy a celebration with breathtaking views of San Francisco. The finish-line celebration will feature food, entertainment, exhibitors, and much more! Climbers can invite their friends, family and co-workers to purchase guests passes who are not climbers but want to participate in the celebration.
Registration Fee - There is a $25 registration fee for climbers.
Minimum Fundraising Requirement - Beyond the registration fee, each climber must raise a minimum of $100 by the date of the climb. (That's easy - get 10 people to sponsor you for $10 each - done!)
Total due upon registration: $25
Total due by event: $125
Guest passes for the finish-line celebration are available for $20 each.
