We will be running 10 +miles, but you can always run less.

All different paces welcome. Everyone usually finds someone to run their pace. We will wait at the half way point and at the end.

Course Description:

This 7 mile out and back walk on paved path along Crystal Springs Reservoir, with some nice soft dirt alongside. The route is measured and marked every half mile, so this is a good run to pay attention to your pacing. . One of the most popular recreation trails in the Bay Area. There is one long hill for those running 10-12 miles; otherwise the route is flat.

No entrance or parking fees. Pit toilets just inside the entrance gate, and at several other locations along the trail. parking is very limited at Sawyer Camp/San Andreas Trail.

Bring water.

Carpooling is very strongly encouraged.

How To Get There:

From points South
Take Hwy 17 or Hwy 85 to I-280.
Drive North on I-280.
Exit at Bunker Hill Drive.
Turn left onto Bunker Hill Drive and go across the freeway.
Turn right at the stop sign onto Skyline Blvd.
Go about 1/2 mile to the Sawyer Camp Trail south end gate.
Meet at the overlook just south of the gate.

From points North
Drive South on I-280.
Exit at Bunker Hill Drive/Skyline Blvd.
Turn right at the stop sign onto Skyline Blvd.
Go about 1/2 mile to the Sawyer Camp Trail south end gate.
Meet at the overlook just south of the gate.

From East Bay
Take 880 to the San Mateo Bridge (Highway 92).
Continue on Highway 92 after leaving the bridge until you reach 280.
Take 280 North to the Bunker Hill Drive exit (first exit).
Turn left onto Bunker Hill Drive and go across the freeway.
Turn right at the stop sign onto Skyline Blvd.
Go about 1/2 mile to the Sawyer Camp Trail south end gate.

    Feride, I'm bringing a friend with me for this run. We'll only run about six miles, but we'll still meet you at 8 am at the gate/trail. I'll have my cell phone on me if we need to connect. Thanks for organizing this one. I've never been to Sawyer Camp Trail, so I'm excited to try it out!

    Sounds fun! Since we're so far north, would anyone like to hang out in in SF after the run for lunch. I'm planning to bring a change of clothes because I'm meeting some friends that night at 6pm, so I'll be staying in that area all day.
